This little piece from Shimano Exage Mountain shifter/lever

I accidentally broke off the mounting plate for the Shimano Exage Mountain shifter that attaches it to the brake lever. I'm looking for a replacement or advice. Can I JB weld this back together you think?

You would be better off trying to find a complete unit on Ebay then using it for spares. They turn up often.

Or buy a complete bike with the group set on it.

Keep an eye out around the local second hand shops, there's a shop in every town that sells pegs, 2nd hand washing machines, old wardrobes and... Retrobikes.

I'm in the US, btw. I went to the local bike co-op and could only find one for the right side; I need one for the left. There's a NOS set of these things on eBay. I'll probably end up forking over the $20 for it if I can't find it at the next bike shop that sells old parts.

You can get them for spares for 16GBp posted to US (mostly to covering shipping costs - will be posted as recordered, priority parcel with tracking)
