Yes, I agree any situation that causes the midlife crisis puts things into perspective, that time out where only life matters makes one think where one is going, I did the same and no more, I am dipping out of the accepted view of what one must have to appear successful, new car every three years, foreign holidays and the latest gadget, it is all crap. And that crap, and almost expectation has to be paid for and so many males and in fact parents hardly see their family as they are working long hours to pay for what the marketeers have said we just have to have.
The result is parents do not bring up their young they are too busy, but to substitute for love and attention the child gets the latest shiny gadget which they tire of easily for what they really want is their family and the young grow up like this and we wonder why kids are the way they are, used to getting everything they apparently need but are angry individuals hardly balanced at all.
Parents, well heart problems are rife in this country and stress is proved to be a killer, is this what life is about a slave to commerce and there taxation.
