The new 26” Cruiser/BMX thread

My cruiser/pub/beater bike,the frame i bought from Retrobikeguy a long time ago.Its made by MIELE ,who now make washing machines fridges etc,and its really well made.Thought id put it together with period parts i had lying around.The plastic pedals will have to go,to replaced by some XC11 copies,the speed way bars are too wide,and the thumshifter needs replacing,its a rolling project.

Here's my old 84 saracen. Its moved on a bit since I got it on the road last year...

Just need to finish welding up the blackburn rack for the front.....must do that!

wow looks amazing mate, bet thats super comfy to cruise on...just tring to work out what the pull is for in the first photo..is the hub geared too?

just worked it out..hub brakes! what are they like ?
