Good Evening
As it was the case for my Grandis and for my Cosmic Carbon wheels, I was looking on ebay for purchasing some things. Unexpectedly, I saw a frame that caught my eye from another Italian seller ,it was a rare Daccordi Fly Frame. Not many Italian bikes are actually made in the bel paese nowadays, and the majority of formerly iconic Italian brands are no longer even owned by their founding families. But Luigi Daccordi, the son of Giuseppe Daccordi who founded the company in 1937, took a different route: instead of sponsoring racing teams and moving production to the Far East, he invested in renewable energy and sustainable manufacturing processes for his factory in Tuscany and continued making bespoke frames in low volumes for discerning customers, and all Daccordi bikes are made there. Daccordi doesn't have the racing palmarès of Colnago or Pinarello, but Luigi Daccordi sees his work as fine tailoring rather than F1 engineering. The Uniblock Brazing and the craftsmanship on this frame are outstanding and this is what made me pull the trigger back in the beginning of march 2023 .A bontrager carbon seat post,a red flite and full Dura Ace 7800 and Dura Ace 7800 brakes will be at the menu, wheels will be Mavic Cosmic Carbon or Ksyrium SSC or Zipp 404 or Zipp 60 wheels
The daccordi arrived the 26th march
The finish of the fillet brazing is unbelievable, very very light frame,it must be an aluminium probably dedacciai custom 7003 or something very high end. It is even better finished than the Cannondale CAAD5- CAAD6 frames or even a Colnago Dream . The Basso Zer made of alumnium from1998 or the Fausto Coppi Galaxy in Columbus Altec used by Polti or a De Rosa made in aluminium would be good competitors for it. Unfortunately it is going to repair because when my bike tech wanted to install the chris king headset which was probably faulty, it created a small crack in the head tube. He knows a welder who will weld and repair the small crack. I might have some news from my bike tech regarding the frame repair in september. I will keep you updated.
Have a nice day
Very best regards and stay safe
