This has been the elephant in the room for a while now. Politics is not my strong point and do not wish to open any arguments.

My position: Self employed, suffering directly from tax rises in fuel

Girlfriend's position: Working for local government, currently under threat of redundancy while their Chief Executive is in the USA for a 'meeting' - will suffer directly no matter who gets in.

I havent a clue who to vote for. My local MP was caught with his hand in the till, we're right in the middle of Conservative land and I cant stand Cameron...

Keep it civil.

I'd like to say I am voting for socialism as I am a big hairy lefty!!

I'm screwed.

Please don't vote for the Tory scum. They will bring rags to the asses of the working classes (again)

al, We are all born equal, just some are born more equal than others.

But this is "new" labour, who moved to the middle ground in order to be elected back in 97, hence why Tory and Labour policies are so similar. Old Labour would never have won.

I'm Tory by the way, reason is I believe in less state meddling and more individual freedom, which is the heart of Tory thinking, but also keeping state help and funding for the people who need it.

Really, small businesses are the backbone of this country and provide many many jobs but they have been squeezed so hard over the last decade by regulation, red tape and taxes that many have gone to the wall.

come the revolution brothers of the oppressed i intend to to seize control of the state putting traffic wardens and any one who works for family tax credits(lengthy paper work division) up against the wall........(gibbleking is henceforth known as "el presidente" ) therefore this thread is wholly meaningless....#

VIVA EL PRESIDENTE.....

ps im voting jedi.......that will teach them...one annoying brat and jarjar as his chief of ministers...oh the horror.

Given how new labour has introduced so many orwellian policies and taken such liberties with privacy and rights, I will vote for whoever is most likely to get them out...

Totally agree with you there, hence my signiture, so many policies were brought in through percieved fear.

Tory then! I'm voting for them, due to a combination of some realistic policies and they are the most likely to oust Labour. Voting Lib Dem will mean a hung parliament - there's too many staunch Tory/Labour supporters to get a clear Lib Dem win, hence why Gordon's trying to buddy up with Cleggnut. And he'll potentially have a hand in running the country for another few years, which is bad.

I don't like politics myself but I also don't like seeing the country go to ratpoo, which has happened undeniably under Labour.

I can't remember where I heard it but I remember hearing someone say they'd love to ask Gordon Brown "What's it like getting your dream job, then realising your sh1t at it?!?"
