Well although the wind is blowing a hooley, it's still muddy in the forest, and belts of hail are whanging the roof every half hour, it feels as though dry, warm riding might now be a distinct possibility. For road work I have a pair of little used 26 inch Schwalbe Durano slicks, lovely tyres, folding kevlar bead so very light, 26x1.10 - so very weeny.
I just love the look of a Kona Explosiv or Orange Clockwork with a pair of these on for road riding. This was the thing of choice for London couriers in the '90s....sloping-top-tube steel bikes with weeny tyres and tight 105 road block. Looks mental. Rides brilliantly.
These are 25 ish new each on CR ... so how about 23:00 for two tyres and two matching lightweight inner tubes?
