Tales from a workshop

Dirt Disciple
Hi guys & girls, I've not posted on here much but I've been lurking for a year or so, ever since I found my childhood dream (Cannondale M500) in a mess in a ditch and was looking for info.

I'm now helping out at a bike reclaiming place, fixing mostly BSO's but we do have a few real gems come in. We have some vintage Raleighs, BSAs, Puchs, a couple of trikes, some pre-war stuff. This came in today, it's never going to set the world alight but it's straight, clean and as far as I can tell 100% original. The paint is almost perfect.

We even have a Raleigh Mustang hidden away..

Would anyone be interested in seeing some of the more choice stuff we acquire?

I still chuckle at BSO. . . . although, will WDT take over henceforth?? :?

redrabbitrun - let's see some of the nicer offerings you have your mitts on

Actually, any except the Mustang, don't think I could handle it....... the ensuing discussion, that is ;)

oooh a topanga ,my first proper mtb after a wds raliegh marauder

i'd like to see the stuff you get in

so 2 votes in favour

I'd also like to see what comes in, regardless of its original RRP or brand, except Apollo, or Raleigh Activators. Please noooone of those!

Cheers guys. Busy day today as I'm QC'ing the old bikes. Our safety rules are now tighter so quality checking means a fair bit of work for now.

This arrived today, declares itself to be a GT Mongoose, Pedals are GT as is the seat clamp, stickers are all Mongoose. Very light for a BMX and really retro. Proper investigation beckons -

Will take a real camera in on Friday and get some better shots of what is hiding amongst the horrors.
