Suggestions for Amber Wall off-road tyres please?

I'm intending to revive my old Orange P7 which has not been used for about 10 years...

First thing is some new tyres and tubes and in keeping with the age of the bike (1994) I want to keep the pale amber wall appearance.

The original tyres are Specialised Cannibal 28 x 1.8 but it seems these are no longer available.

What would people suggest as an alternative? All I can find is Charge Splashbacks, are they any good?

Thanks... :?:

Have a look at Halo tyres.

The Choir Master is meant to be pretty good and it is available in skin wall.

Well I've picked up a pair of Panaracer Smoke & Dart skinwalls from Germany of the internet. Total cost was £58 including courier charges with DHL which I didn't think was too bad. I noticed a thread elsewhere about a chap selling some for £175 so maybe I got a bargain...?

Is that bad? I've honestly have no idea... I just wanted amber wall tyres on my Orange. Anyway I've not paid the Earth for them so if they're no good I can use them for a year and replace.

Thoughts :?:

Its good its good!! if they arrive as amberwall let us all know. that shop will then be inundated by a load of retrobikers seekingtyre nirvana

I see, I thought you were going to say they will probably be cheap Chinese reproductions which last 5 mins if they don't collect punctures beforehand! :)

I'll let you all know when they arrive, hopefully despatched Monday so may arrive towards the end of the week.

What you need to bear in mind is that anyone spending £175 on these tyres is a bit of a prat, who could have saved themselves over a hundred quid if they just spent half an hour on t'internet seeing whats about.
