Suggestions for Amber Wall off-road tyres please?

Oh, believe me when I say it will become public knowledge once the product hits the shores. I looked into it myself last November after the amber wall Smoke Classic was shown at Eurobike. Ridiculous 500 tire minimum with a 90 day lead time plus transport time. Having 20K sit out there for that length of time with no income to offset it just didn't make it pay in the end. There are a couple US distributors that confirmed to me that they had plans to bring some in.

This from the folks at H&S

since the Germany distibution of Panaracer has been closed, we won't get them again. We're selling the rest we still have in stock, but not more, I'm afraid.

The Choir Master is meant to be pretty good and it is available in skin wall.

They're 2.35".... Are they going to fit between the skinny stays of my frame - let alone a set of v brakes? I sometimes have trouble with 2.125.

They do look good though.

I managed to get a set of Fire XC Pro in skinwall from a shop on ebay not so long ago and they are excellent; I have to say that their stock didn't hang around either. Can the manufacturers not see that there is a market for these tyres? I guess it's just not big enough for it to be profitable.

I wouldn't bother unless you have a lot of clearance. Ive seen them on a bike and they look huge. I might get some for my modern 6" travel bike as they do look fantastic.

Have you considered Charge Splashback's, just bought a set of 1.8s from Evans cycles, cheap too at about £33 for the pair!!!!!
