Hi all , I picked up a very very nice unused Stumpjumper 25th Anniversary model from Simon on here this week, and now have a quandary, shall i use it or box it up and keep it unused, it is a thing of beauty and theres not many about, anybody else on here got one?

Cheers

I'll try get some pics up but if you google stumpjumper classic 2007 it should come up, when I googled it a shop stated they had still had for sale at £1100

Re:

Difficult to say whether to use it or not if it's pristine.

I've got one and had no such problem, it's very battered with loads of chips out of the paint. I built it up with near period correct parts from a donor 1986 Rockhopper.

Just need to post a bit more so I can upload pictures.

Seems like I might be able post images after all.

Here's my Classic with 1986 original parts including Crossroads tyres.

Looks great, why did you not keep the parts that it came with?, mines only been ridden about 100 yds. It's in a box in the garage at the mo, were there only 250 of these worldwide or is that a marketing myth?

Re:

I saw this for sale outside a bike shop. It had none of its original parts, it had been built up with bits mainly from the shop scrapheap. The paint is unbelievably heavily chipped, apparently the previous owner used to lock it up with a really heavy chain.

It was the bullmoose bars and the biplane fork that really sold it to me, and that I had a suitable immaculate groupset including wheels and tyres at home.

I've no reason not to believe there are only 250 of them, there are only two more after mine.

I certainly haven't found much about them on the internet
