Mrs XCDave says I should upload my odd creations to t'interweb so people can see them. Have been 'off' the internet for a few years, and not bothered about it myself as the joy is the build/ride, but here goes.

Love yellow bikes?
Love Stanton frames?
Love the 'themed' paint jobs at Red Bull Rampage?
Love '80s Christian heavy metal band and power-metal pioneers Stryper?

Course you do, me too.
So when my 2016 P7 developed some cracks, I thought to put it all together.
New Slackline with custom finish was well out of reach price-wise, so picked up a 2015 first generation Switchback on eBay for £180. Same size everything as the P7, so easy parts swap.
Colour is RAL 'Traffic Yellow', done by Peaty's in Yeadon, colour matched on-site to my TSG helmet to keep the theme strong. Got my Spesh P1 done in the same batch too.

Custom decals - Stryper starts with St and Stanton starts with St, same number of letters as well - seemed too good to miss! I traced round the logo on one of my LPs, altered the remaining letters and got in touch with Indibike. Lucy there did a great job tidying everything up, digitising my grease-proof-paper originals and size-matching it to the original decals to ensure good wrap. We had fun playing with the theme, could've gone a bit more OTT but have kept it simple (for now).

666? No, it's 631 tubing. To hell with the devil!

Leopard print saddle and studded-belt chainstay protector just like everyone's bikes in LA circa 1986.

First ride was in Dyfi Bike Park and a little bit full-on to be honest, but had a great time, and maybe some people were buzzing about the Yellow & Black Attack theme (that's a bee joke, I'm just pollen your leg). Looking forward to having some good times with this one, feels much more 'alive' than the P7, more akin to my old Dialled Alpine or SC Chameleon.

Hope you like it, but if not that's cool.

Peace,
D.

Thanks both, the chainstay protector doesn't do such a good job of deadening chain slap noise! But not too much of an issue in this world of clutch mechs. Had to pop a stud off as it rubbed on the cranks on every rotation.
