Steve Potts

take the gun and get your property back

like a cowboy

the American way

I had placed a bid on this, and was planning to bid a lot more....now I read this

I'm not bidding on it again, and suggest that no one in the vrc community bid on it. This guy should not be able to profit from his lack of scrupples, at the least, or crime ,at the worst, if he indeed is the thief.

just another thought I had...I'm quite cynical at times:

I hope this is not an attempt to keep the price low, so that it can be snagged

:? hate being paranoid sometimes

True, nevertheless...

The thread to mtbr linked above is no longer valid.

Well, if the story is true, I hope it doesn't sell, and something can be worked out for the original owner.
If it turns out to be anything else...even a stretching of the truth, (like it was his, then sold it for cheap back before the VRC mountain bike boom, now wants it back), then I say he should be banned from all retro/VRC sites for trying to pull a stunt like that.

I know after my first bike was stolen, I took special care to not have it happen again, much less two more times...unless they were all stolen at the same time.

Anyway, I've speculated enough...I'm off this bike...at least it saves me money.
Looks great though, shame it has this attached to it :(
