Hi all,

looking to buy a comfortable, lively and light steel (Tange/True Temper/Columbus/triple butted/Reynolds?) complete bike or just frame and fork.

Size is 1.79m so 22 inch/56cm frame?
Stand over between 32 and 32.5 inch

So a good price/value and underrated bike to keep and ride it.

Recap
Light Touring/Commuting:
1/ comfortable, stable and upright geometry
2/ light but not too light to absorb the bumps and bad roads
3/ can fit a triple chainset/crankset and low gears for hills
4/ can fit wide tyres 32c minimum
5/ cantilevers mounts to fit modern rim brakes

If you know someone who has too many bikes that wants to sell or if you have a bike recommendation, that would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Thierry

Re: 80's Steel cantilever/rim brakes light touring wide tyres

Got a Peugeot savoie frame and forks in Reynolds 531. It's a 54cm though. Tourer, comfy, triple fits and plenty of tyre clearance. Appreciate its not a 56! But just in case...

Thanks Martin,
Got an Univega Gran Touring that I will try to build.
But if my dream bike see models below appear I may be tempted!
