foz Gold Trader Feedback View Jul 31, 2016 #2 yes. it's always better to round down rather than up - less chance of running out of thread on the spoke before they're tight, and less chance of the spoke protruding up into the tube.

davidj Senior Retro Guru Aug 1, 2016 #3 Re: If the rims are double wall then either will do the job, if single wall then either go short or be prepared to use a file . Unless you are cutting and threading your own spokes you have to work with the 2mm jump.
