Hi guys,
I have bough a set of Spinergy's last year from a member of this forum and I'm really happy with them.
I'm now building another retro bike and I was looking for a second set of Spinergy's but before I do that I would like to discuss the possibility of converting a "normal" set so it can be disk ready.
I'm questioning because disk ready Spinergy's not only are expensive but are really hard to find.
After looking to many pictures, I can see that the difference is only in hub, where the "lip" that holds the bearing is larger and has holes. I don't see any diference in the spokes or the attachment of the hub to the spokes, which I think is where the added stress will be.
I was thinking of a method that wouldn't modify the hub much, so that if I wanted I could revert to the original form.
Something like this:
The only real modification would be 4 holes for the safety pins on the picture.
Do you think something like this is possible?
Any ideas and feedback are really appreciated!
