Specialized Future Shock users manual

From a MTBR thread on the subject:
"As you probably know the quadra and indy forks have interchangeable parts and crowns ,I've cut out the lightweight indy sl legs and put them in quadra legs internal depths differ and I had to cut down the indy stanchions from 27cm to 20cm this makes a real lightweight fork in hindsight just shortening the indy legs may of been a better option the indy sl offers the most tire clearance, other alternatives are the aftermarket braces on mag series models etc. If you like to recycle older forks and need disc brakes consider the early judy forks. Early sid fork stanchions will fit in older judy crowns if you chop out the top"

Just to confirm, looking at that. It is based on the 1992 MAG30 (the screw part and the top caps being the main points).

Can you pop the seal/seal container out of the top caps. These use a seal in a plastic container, now you can get the seal out and another back in but it's a pain in the arse (did another at Christmas time).

An easier method is either find an old one complete one (they came with the plastic case around them), but since seals are not a problem for you then just manhandle the old one out and inject with an air valve substitute (Marine Black Silicone works well if you can make it a bit harder then the one you can buy in the shops, even better.
Then a pin for a hole.

EDIT, just had a look for you. 1992 catalogue, one you get past Ti bottom bracket porn, obviously not Sugino/Suntour chainrings and odd bar ends.
