Specialized command dropper remote

I'm looking at changing my worn specialized command dropper post remote and outer cable as it lets the bike down.

I'm running a 1x gearing so I can use the gear style trigger remote if I want instead.

I'm just wondering if anyone on here has swapped theirs to something other than a genuine remote. ( on a specialized camber or stumpjumper etc)

Are all brands the same cable diameter as the original so it can be run through the frame.

This is purely remote and cable assembly as the post is working fine.

The cable and housing are standard gear change material. I hated the Specialized remote, so when I went 1x, I modified the front shifter to do the job.
