Hi, don't usually frequent this scary place, all a bit young for me....but....I have just been given a Specialised Hardrock. There is a date stamp on the stem, 99 over 06, which suggests July '99. This seems to tie in with the red and silver paint scheme. It all works, though cables are stiff, and the tyres seem to hold air. It looks 100% original, seat, pedals, drive train, stem, brakes the lot.

My question is.....is this frame able to take front suspension, and if so, what make would you guys recommend?

Many thanks for any replies. I will try to post pics if I can find the time....

Dave

Re:

99/06 would be June 99, not July ;)

Any fork with around 80mm travel would be fine. I'd be inclined to look for either some Rockshox Judys, Manitou SX or Marzocchi Bombers. All of which would have been available at the time :)
