Some sad AMP news

So, anyone who has an AMP product has likely heard of their abilities for aftersales even though they haven't made bike components for 13 years.

Well, I contacted Brion at AMP last year regarding some spares for my F4 forks which he was about to invoice me for as they had the parts in stock for a full rebuild but I didn't purchase them at the time (replacement pistons, seals and internals as mine were the older type which didn't have the screwable preload adjuster meaning removing the spring was a nightmare)

So anyway, I sent him an e-mail back again just recently and got the following response:

"Unfortunately I do not have the parts available any longer. AMP was bought by Lund International and they got rid of all the bike parts and related items, I got what I could out of there but unfortunately there was very little F4 stuff and it has all been sold. I hate to send this type of email but it was inevitable that it was going to happen at some point considering we had not made bike stuff in over 13 years.

I really wish I had the parts for you, sincerely,
Brion"

In addition I asked about some spare hubs/rotors etc:

"Sorry I missed this the first time, I have front hubs, and rotors but we have not had calipers for years, and I recently sold the last pair of brake pads and am trying to get more but I am not sure how that is going to work out as of yet, if I have to pay retail it will not be worth it to anybody."

This is a real shame and Brion is obviously quite gutted too. I don't suppose anyone out there has any spare piston shells or AMP F4 spares at all?
