The brake calipers are by Modolo. .if they have a serial number by the brake pad bolt they are top of the range Professional model. More close up photos of the components and frame details would help.

I'll pop out to the shed later and take a load more photos.

Thanks everyone for the input with this. Really interesting.

That's lovely and what looks like a nice mix of period correct parts.

If it were mine i'd strip it down completely, clean everything and polish it all as much as possible and then put it back together replacing all the serviceable parts like cables etc where needed and replacing the small trim bits.

Edit

Not sure on the handlebar stem as it looks a bit later, the freewheel looks wrong and maybe some better period brake calipers but that's about it as far as I can see, if you do change the calipers and go Modolo hang on to those pads as they can be harder than the actual calipers to get hold of

Bell's probably worth a bit too! At one time they were going for silly money on e-bay.

Any idea what kind it is? And what would I search for?

I've known them as simply 'Ping' bells! 'Cos that's what they do :) No idea of the 'correct terminology', sorry.

What a lovely bike. I hope it sees L'Eroica some day, it certainly deserves to. No reason why those rims should be original to the bike, bit assuming they are, anodised rims were more of a late 70s early 80s thing no?

Re:

So, here is the plan:

It's book into be stripped and serviced at the end of the month, leaving essentially is leave as it. Should be great.

My only question is.....what bartape?
