Turning this one around quickly as I need the space. £90 o.n.o collection from South Manchester area ( can box and ship if buyer organizes and pays for the shipping)
1994 ( I think) Axis with LARGE True Temper TT Lite frame, DB Cromoly triple butted forks
21" C to C (53CM). All paintwork and decals are original, I have simply used paint restorer to remove decades of gronk and then polished and waxed. Note this frame has plenty of marks on it and it has one ugly botched attempt at painting over a mark ( not dent) on the top tube. previous owner obviously tried to make this look better but ended up making it far more prominent ( doh) .
There is no underlying damage, no rust or repairs I imagine they just scraped it and then did a crap job of touching it up. There are other marks where cables and/or frame bags have rubbed the fork and head tube again nothing serious. All threads, BB and headset are in top condition ( I removed and serviced everything).
close up of top tube mark - stickers added to draw eye away from it ! you could add your own
I have built up as a 1x8 with Shimano ZEE hollowtech BB, cranks and rear mech ( the nice one with adjustable clutch). SLX easy fire shifter, mix of alivio and altus cantis, wheels are altus hubs with generic rims and nice period Tioga tyres. Quality Cane Creek ahead set and bontrager stem with specialised handlebar and DB grips.
weight is just under 10kg which is pretty good going for a 30 year old rigid MTB.
New chain, brake blocks, cables etc. ready to ride.
