This blue Supercorsa frame is a touch too big for me, I cannot keep it, so it needs an owner.

A great classic frameset, in a gorgeous blue colour (pictures don't give justice). Excellent conditions, the frame has been litterally ridden twice for less than 50 miles in total, and has only some very small storage nicks on the paintjob. The chrome is excellent, no rust or dings or blemishes there.
The frame has been checked, is straight and sound. Again, it is essentially unused, you can see it from the groupset it had on (http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy61 ... GP0095.jpg)

Seat tube is 57cm c/c (58.5c/t), top tube is 56cm c/c. All columbus New SLX tubing.
Italian threaded BB, braze-on FD bracket, 27.2mm seatpost, 130mm rear dropouts spacing.
Dates back from 1994/95, very likely made by Giovanni Losa.

Asking £900 or nearest offer, the frame costs £1.400 new and is not the same as this classic.

Recent EU laws have banned some very toxic stuff that was used for chroming. It is very hard nowadays to find someone that can still make good chroming. Let alone the paintjob.
It's a shame that I cannot get in the picture how shiny and perfect is the chrome of this frame.

The other differnces are the tubing (new frames use Columbus Neuron, which shaves a little weight) and small differences in sundries (brake bridge). Also, the dropouts on new frames are vertical.

In a nutshell, isn't a massive difference from the current Supercorsa, but some may prefer an older one? I'm with them, I build my red one like the bike I dreamed of in my early 20's and could not afford at all.

Re:

I always wanted a super corsa, I agree with your sentiment about the differences, unfortunately 57cm is way too big for me.

Are the current ones any good despite the differences? I mean do they ride okay and so on?

I need educating!

Re: FS: Cinelli Supercorsa frame & forks, 57cm, excellent

AFAIK, those frames have always had the same geometry and construction, so they do ride the same. And their ride is not just "okay", they are actually brilliant! Very nippy frames that do like the speed, forget about old bikes with a lazy attitude, mah, not here. My red SC with some nice wheels onto, it never fails to impress me, perfectly balanced machine.

Reduced to £900 or nearest offer. Free Campagnolo headset and Record/Chorus bottom bracket included!
Make a dream come true, next week it's going on Ebay.

Btw, worth reminding that this is a classic geometry frame.
Measurements are effective, and those are the kind of frames you're meant to use with 10-13cm of seatpost sticking out and no more.
Forget about modern frames that you use with 20cm of seatpost out and 15cm of gap saddle/bars.

This size 57cm fits most people between 1.78-1.80mt (5.9-6.0?) with and inseam around 85cm.

FYI, my other Supercorsa is a 55cm and fits me perfectly (I'm 1.78cm, 82.5cm inseam: I've short legs!)
