SOLDHey guys,

Sad to do this but I have to fund a replacement car as my daily driver has gone bang

1991 Kona Hei Hei, frame and some parts were shipped from Canada, the rest I sourced to build a near Catalogue spec replica accept using Suntour XC Pro in place of some XT parts as I didn’t have a build with it on, the groupset was an option as in the UK we could only buy the 1991 Hei Hei as frameset only.

This is frame number B17001, thought to potentially be the first production frame built by TST:

Link to my build thread from 2018:

Included with the bike will be:
A Joe Murray Combo cage, complete with original bottle, tyre levers and full unused patch kit.

A Kona /Bula race top.

A full colour 1991 brochure and UK price sheet in great order.

A pair of correct size 1991 Spinner Project Two forks with a repro decals by Gil to go on (I was going to repaint these and swap the Tange Switchblades out).

A pair of very good condition Joe Murray Maximum and Reaction tyres (instead of Panaracer Smokes).

I am asking £2000.

Hi, Im really sorry that you are selling the Hei Hei as I know how much that meant to you.

It is a brilliant build - and I bet a fantastic ride.

It is a sad day, one that I had hope to keep and hand down to my son one day but needs must.

She rides beautifully and will do even more so with the Project Twos.

Should make someone very happy :)

Superb bike, even better price.

Cheers buddy, only half the money I need to buy a replacement car so the Merlin ‘may’ be for the chop as well.

One of my favourite frames on here.

Good price and a great package 8)

Sad to see it go, but well done on the price. That's got to be one of the highest for a while and reflects the actual value and quality as opposed to folks trying to flog mutton dressed as lamb.

Cheers guys, looked great with the Cage mounted and proper Kona tyres. I can only image with the P2 restored and fitted, it’ll look even better. Never mind.
