Elastomer's light, compact, no talks, not expensive. Many advantages for manufacturers.

Is the Ritchey a coil spring shock? I have a Dekerf Team ST with a coil in it, assumed the Ritchey would be the same.

It's your guys fault! now I want a Silk-Ti...
Seems like the best system. I've seen a Merlin soft-tail with a crack in the weld joint between the drive side chain-stay and the BB shell and I think that for a proper soft-tail design you need the flat connection like the Silk-Ti has or the Morati.
