I also have suntour on my Klein Attitude and my Off Road Proflex but no where near a groupset. I've never really liked shimano, all my bikes including modern ones are Campa, Suntour or boutique parts like proshift.

With Shimano it's more the company rather than the product. I love the unusual and the underdog rather than the middle of the road or market leader. Shimano is just too good to be interesting

1996 Klein Attitude with Suntour XC Pro MD. Almost all my bikes are build up with XC Pro.

heres mine, possibly not as glam as the others but love it, shifts differently to shimano and its nice to have something different.

I had this one entered in BOTM once (and it did win). Now no longer build-up with Mavic. The front derailleur made too many problems.

Got a couple of XC Comp equipped bikes and it's good kit.

I would consider it to be XT equivalent and XC-Pro more akin to XTR (I have got some XC-Pro and XTR parts and the quality seems comparable) and better in places, like the greaseguard hubs and the full sealed bearing jockey wheels.
