Shimano XT NIB

Not worth it, only for time saving reasons. Better off to buy a NOS XT bike, like the Muddy Fox (which I posted earlier) for 500 EUR. But if a M730 chainset with SG-X rings, alongside with cartridge-splined M735 pedals and 68/122.5 mm UN71 BB was also included, maybe........................................Hell naw, still too much!o_O

New in box, there is the difference I suppose.

no offence to anybody.....but unless your building a bike for a museum or to hang on a wall.....i just dont see the point in paying huge huge money for nos kit......

You cant ever use the bike....not even turn the pedals.....otherwise its then just very very good used.

But hey, wtf do i know, its your $....so whatever floats your boat.......but i thought the point of a bike was to ride it!

Bit like having the worlds sexiest partner.....then sleeping in another room!

Nice to have, but would need to be a complete groupset (chainset, pedals, headset, seat QR, seatpost all missing) to command the asking price or near to.
Must admit I'd be quite happy to own something like that and for it to remain boxed.

I agree without the chainset and pedals at least, it's a completely fanciful price - and even then...

Bear in mind almost no-one would have bought a groupset like this bitd, they'd have either bought a bike with it on or upgraded parts when needed a bit at a time. I certainly upgraded my bike with XT cantis, pedals, BB, front and rear mech bitd - but wasn't touching rapidfire after the reliabilty and longevity issues of the first generation. I was sufficiently unimpressed to stick with thumbshifters until the early 2000s. And once I discovered cartridge BBs after regularly destroying cup and cone ones I never looked back.
