I'm in the process of upgrading my 1987 Peugeot Perthus into a super lightweight restomod. I'd prefer to keep the retro appearance and 80s riding experience but with strategic use of performance enhancing modern parts.
Shimano Dura Ace SL-7900 were the last indexed, downtube gear shifters to be produced, a 10 speed rear sprocket provides enough gears and that generation of derailleurs were among the lightest available. They appear for sale now and again but at the moment I can't find any available, this is a long term project so I can wait patiently but if anyone has a pair lying around please let me know. The older SL-7800 model looks the same.
I will offer a fair price based on their condition.
