Re:

Gotta be patient with these things. It's prolly easier to put a man on Mars than to get hold of some but....I'm on it ;)

Bit shocked frankly to see LGF flogging Proshift bling

Goin´ with take offs as long as there´re no pods arround... Still looking :xmas-wink:

Two questions please :?

a) where did you get those repros from and
b) where did you get those funky pink bar foam bits ?

That's looks like it will be amazing to ride  Love the forks and custom gooseneck stem

Hey there.

a) Though the cabls stops are on top () these should be original ones; that´s what Chris said... I got lucky to have them anyway as long as there´re no WTB shifter pods to put my hands on.

b) These are Bontrager Race X Lite IsoZone pads; got´em from my local bike shop :)

Lookin´ forward to take a spin with it - expecting a spongy ride :D

Friendly greetings

Showing my ignorance here  So those ones in your pic are the first type, the originals and the WTBs are a later variant :? Ok I got
Schooled then :) and who is Chris ? :?

Some say it's those forks. They are a bit flexy l but maaaan are they cool. Looking forward to a detailed ride report from you on this beauty

Ok....here's hoping that the crazy saga of trying to find affordable thumbshifter adapters is over.....over I tell ya....

Check these out http://www.kellybike.com/product/takeoff/

$69 + shipping

All you need then is some of the newer Shimano Thumbshifters.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161890091193

Ok it's not going to be period correct but it should work and work really well. Not tried it yet but....let's see what happens

They are not thumbshifters! They are bar end shifters / barcons and have to be punted right round as they dont have the pull of a proper thumbie.

Not very ergonomic as 'thumbies' on the flat bars either and will probably work better as bar end shifters rather than on the take offs...!
