I'm quite into these but lacking fundage right this minute. . can the broken lever be replaced?

Reckon it'd be relatively easy to paint them too?

And. . . (last one)... will there be applications they aren't suited to? I know nowt about how these things fit and there seems to be as many different options as there are people who make them.. :?
