Another seatpost removal hint:
Allow some sort of release agent (I use 3in1 oil) to drip into the seatpost area via the waterbottle bolt holes and stand the bike upside down for a few days.
Lay bike on side on grass or soft area (but not too soft!)
Stand on the chainset/ BB area and place one foot on the offending seat
Jump.
Offending seatpost may or may not give out a loud 'crack' and start to twist in the frame.
Now is the time for big arms and lots of grunts as you spend the next hour twisting the post out...
Add Sun and beer/ tea/ breakfast/ Sunday morning and relax.
