I posted recently regarding a few issues I've had following a rechroming job.
The latest thing (which hopefully isn't a biggy) is that there seems to be a very very minor amount of material left over from the chroming process at the top of the headtube.
It is so thin its difficult to tell its there when running a finger inside the tube but it is visible (dark glossy colour) and the 27.0 seatpost that previously fitted now takes a fair bit of persuasion (twisting and pushing) to install.
Assuming I cannot remove the material (which lines about the top centimetre of the tube) should I just go for a 26.8mm instead? Or stick with an extremely tight 27.0mm?
I can see that a smaller seatpost will only be properly clamped where the tube is narrower at the top - will this matter?
Cheers
Rob
