If I was to replace the cracked fork crown, clean up the bike and try to sort out the pitting to the rear triangle plating, how much is this likely to be worth? I've had a quote for a replacement crown and it's a little more than I was expecting. It has XT groupset M730, levers/shifters are MO95 & one of the levers has had the black paint removed, even the tyres look original and unused. Both the rear shock and forks appear to hold air pressure. I guess it would be better to break for parts though I'd prefer to save it.

It's never going to be worth much. I wouldn't go down a restoration rabbit hole with it.

If you're just looking to clean it up and fix the fork you might get £150 if you offer postage. But the way things are at the moment you'll be lucky to shift it.

Personally, I'd split it if I wasn't going to use it.

If you like it, save it. If not, sell in that condition. I guess there would be someone collecting Scotts. That model is not so common after all.
