I cant believe ive just done this. Just goes to show what happens when you're impatient. I just couldnt get the canti to budge and ended up shearing the damn thing off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think it would cost to have a new one brazed on or are there any other ways to repair it? Finding another pair would be pretty unlikely - although that doesn't mean I wont try.

Think I'd just replace the forks mate, think it'll be cheaper. Bad one btw.

Id love to just replace the forks but thats the sort of thing that would bother me for ever more, just because i'd know they weren't right.

These are much narrower than ordinary MTB forks and also have loads of bosses and stuff for racks and mudguards etc which is why I wanted to rebuild this bike. Finding a pair of these forks could proove tricky.

Which bit do you think should unscrew, ill go out there and investigate immediately?
