What was the 'go to' saddle for 1990?

The Flite launched 1990 and was a huge success in the first year already.

I would add Selle San Marco Rolls and Avocet Racing to the list. But yeah, Turbo&Flite were probably the most popular.

Rolls, Turbo and Flite are available as repros, from what I hear not as comfortable as the old ones. Can´t confirm this, but my butt prefers the Avocet anyway.

I bought a repro turbo 4 years ago.....sold it on.....not that impressed.

Rolls are nice saddles, but a bit less " race" styled.

Flites were a winner from the get go.

I need something for the Yeti as I dont like the Turbo.

Im biased, as after 30 years, i have a flite shaped butt!

Turbos were a nice OEM fit but for me the Flite is the quintessential 1990 saddle. Both were comfortable at the time but I suspect that was just because we didn’t know better. Tried my own original Flite on a build a few years back and had to take it off after one ride.!

Avocet Gel saddles were also nice as long as you got the narrower version and not the sofa sized one.

Flite is a good choice, but you'll struggle to find one dated 1990 I'd imagine (if that matters). Earliest I tend to see are about '92/'93, but it's still the same design.
