I bow down to the mighty knowledge that is Retrobike.

I have a frame/fork combo that's been waiting in the wings for a while. It's my size (YAY! I'm a shortarse!) NOS and unusual, if not a bit rare. Dates from 91/92.

I have an itch to fit some mary bars, modern 9 speed thumbies, some late HS33 maguras, and go 1x9 speed. I have all the bits except the bars. The rest would be roughly period correct and either dx or m730.

Waste?

Everything I've done so far has been pretty much full retro.

Over to you.

:D

It's your flippin' bike! Build it how you want it, don't worry what others may think about it.

I don't care what others think really, I just can't decide!!!

whats the frame...?

Something that won't float most peoples boat. Alan pro carbon.

Re:

While some of my bikes are retro none of 'em are period correct. I always go for a setup that suits me and then I find I ride more. Some of the bike setup from early MTB times I just cannot cope with now. Try the not period correct style first, you could always go back to how it would have been?

Re:

Yeah! go retro mod... all my Mountain bikes have been hot rods going back 25 years.

Would be a great frame to hang some newer components on, and you can always do that period build at a later date.

Go on...

Do you think you'll like it, and want to ride it within an inch of it's life?

If the answer is yes, or even maybe then hell yes.
