Sachs inverted front mech

I have a inverted Sachs quarz front mech but the shifter is dead. I ordered a new set of Sachs wavey shifters from a fellow member but after a bit of reading I understand that not all Sachs front mechs work inverted.
I guess there's a good chance that after installing the waveys the shifting will be inverted (hopefully this makes sense). If so I guess I'll just have to deal with it.
Does anyone have any experience with these front mechs?

It's been a long time, but don't they work with any shifter? It's just a reverse action like Shimano's annoying rear derailleurs.

Yup, standard shifter, standard cable pull, reversed spring/linkage.

I ran one for a while.
