thinking about the original question though,

manitou frames, i can understand people want them but buying them knowing they risk buying a cracked frame or one that is likely to crack if ridden alot seems crazy to me unless it's for a wall hanger and if that is the case the price would have to be low as in reality it becomes useless for it's intended purpose.

:D

But even just hanging in the garage it looks amazing! Well mine does and I paid less for it as it had a crack but thanks to Mr Danson76 the crack is fixed (after 3 years of ownership) the headtube has been reamed out properly (why it cracked in the first place) and although it may only get one ride, the suspension action will be awful compared to anything modern and it will in all probability crack again I love it!

What I'd love to find is one of the 2 marins that have Mag21 rear ends - sort of rockshox fs if you will, I've seen pics but never heard of one in real life!

Didn't those Marins have Manitou Rear ends?

I remember one of their team riders have a frame with Mag 21's front and rear. Jake Watson I think?

I do find it funny that the Marin frames were more reliable, but less desirable. The cracking Manitous are more popular and sell for more money.

This could be a very long thread!

How about Ringle Mojo hangers, Campagnolo mtb stuff, Fat Chance, XTR, etc.........

Learn something new every day! I do wonder what they ride like: it seems to me that there must be a fair bit of sticktion due to the position and ark of the rear wheel movement.

Spins / Spinergy things - whatever the hell they're called.

Dem dere Synchros seatposts.

I've gone too far, haven't I. I hate it when that happens...
