Rossin Prestige Team build

links for pictures aren't working for me either

A broken crown is pretty unusual are there any signs of impact damage? Plus the Rossin crown is pretty unique not sure how one would go about replicating it. So it is back to you Richard go out and measure that fork

Morning all,

I will be able to measure axle to crown, but I have no idea how to measure the rake - any ideas welcome.

Richard

rest back of fork legs on flat surface in a way so steerer is parallel to that surface.
measure distance from surface to center of drop out.
subtract distance from surface to center of steerer tube.
presto.

Great stuff!!

Thanks, I should have it done by lunchtime, if things go to plan.

Richard

I am early!!! Unusual for me!

here are MY measurements - apologies for any errors but i was careful -

Steerer length - 203mm
Total length - 583mm
Fork leg length - 380mm
Measurement from base to centre of dropout - 58mm approx

Pics may help if i have got something wrong -

I hope this is enough for you, if not, it will be a few days before I can get peace to take any more measurements.

Richard

I like it to be subtile, but also symetrical - so not just right chainstay but the left too. Fork and rear dropouts, and nice touch would be to arrow shape chrom on parts where it interacts with paint since there are alot of pointy, "arrowy" bits and parts on that frame. I don't know if you know what I mean… :S

you forgot to subtract base - steerer centre distance from your last measurement.
if you do this you'll have the offset/rake of the fork.
