Roll out the Barra

Dirt Disciple
I bought this trike on the understanding that I would restore it , ride it and not separate it and do the ladies late farther proud. I had quite a bit of work as the paintwork looked like it was keyed with a house brick then painted with Levi's no drip gloss . All spokes were loose in fact everything was loose . I decided to swop over the bars to drops and just build it up with anything l had laying, just to see how it handled . With it's low trail front end and large top tube .Truth is it is the best handling trike conversion l have had . After a while I had the frame painted by a mate in 1954 VW Burgundy and a creamy yellow he just mixed up. I just did not have the money for a posh enamel job and l did not want a pristine bike l was afraid to use. I done the lining which looks ok after a lot of panic ING . I originally built it up as a bike ,for a few months but a promise is a promise and it has been run as a trike . Currently is a rolling test bed for a new trike build with a two wheel drive rear disc conversion axel. It just gives me emense pleaser to ride doing the British cycle quest and to look at. Yes
Paint job looks bob on to me. Great you can run it as a bike as well as a trike. Is it actually a Claud originally under the various repa
Yes it is a 1951 Claud Butler Avanti Courier Special. I had the details/ frame no checked on here . I think it started off burgundy but it's hard to tell. I did want a paint job that's" eye catching " but looks classic.
