6InchesIsEnoughForAnyone
Retro Newbie
Hi Guys,
This is my first post here although I've been riding mountain bikes since the 90s and haven't bought a new one since then so I figured I'd fit in here ... :-D
Anyway, I just got asked to dispose of a load of 'junk' at my dads house and found my old GT STS DH frameset and figured I might get it back on the trail again.
I'm going to have to buy most of the rest of the bike but the one major bit I think I'm going to have trouble finding is a new rear shock!
Unfortunately the reason I retired the bike was because I'd managed to put a hole in the top of the shock with a spanner (a hideous bodge to try and get the preload to turn).
I also remember when the bike was current there were people making after-market bearing kits for the rear susp to replace the plastic/delrin bushings.
So my question is does anyone have these items (shock and/or bearing kit) for sale or know where else I might start looking for them?
Cheers in advance,
Sandy
