Rockshox forks. Can I easily shorten the travel?

I've got hydracoil rockshox on my Proflex but at 100mm travel they have slackened the steering a little. They are spring and oil with a plastic spacer on top of the spring. Can I just cut the spacer to reduce travel, do I need to fit shorter springs or is it a complete no no due to bottoming out issues. All info greatfully recieved.

They sound very similar to my Judy SL airs and I have literally just done the same - swapped from 100mm to 80mm. It was just a case of moving the spacer to a new location, above the sporing I think. Do a google search and it should come up with the sevicing manual, if you cant find it I'll pm it over.

I must say I found it a pain as I had never done it and I really dont think the manual is that great, I imagine if I do it again it'd be much easier. Also, the top cap with the valve decided to completely round off, meaning I had to spen 20 odd quid on a new, metal one

Presumably your question has been answered, but if not yes you can and very easily.

I have got the manual in pdf form for these forks which explains all, pm me an email addy if you want it

Presumably they are Judy XC or SL, they can have the travel adjusted from 63mm-80mm and 100mm (Judy Race is just 63 or 80 though)
Just a matter of repositioning the spacers although some taking apart of the forks is required

Happy Easter
