Hi all, in my quest/compulsion to sory myself out some nice Judy forks, I have ended up with two sets of Judy FSX, a nice set of XC, and some SL lowers to swap out as/when a build suits with with XC's. During this quest I have accumulated a lot of spares that I will not now need as my quest has been completed, so here they are up for grabs. Not sure how to price this all up, as I would rather sell it all as a job (need to shift a lot of spares due to an impending house move), so lets say £150 - NOW £125 all in (inc post) for everything. I will consider splitting, but I'd need to see a lot of interest in all of the parts before getting to that stage, as like I said, I need to shift it.
So, what is in this bonanza?
Used dampers:
None have oil in them, but some should be rebuildable. If I were keeping them, I'd swap out a shaft and seals from a plastic bodied one (as they are worn) into the aluminium one as a project (I don't need to though as I have a nos one spare
)
Internal parts:
Including some nos heavyweight type II springs and various judy Jax (elastomer spacers), spring rate adjusters and some other springs that may be useful
Judy SL uppers and crown
Crown and stantions are in great condition (stantions are unmarked), and inside is a nos damper and dummy leg (fitted by myself). I sold the complete forks but the clowns in the postal service manhandled them and cracked the lower legs, hence just the uppers and internals spare. The steerer is an interesting one as it is a one inch aluminium one that someone has sleeved to take 1 1/8. I'd remove this if I were keeping and the lower legs were not cracked and use on my Yo Eddy. Another thought occurred to me, though slightly sacriligious - cut the stantions from the crown and you have some minty stantions for any Judy lowers. If you want the lowers incuded, I still have them - if you wanted to go to the trouble, the bushings should be good incide them).
2x NOS dampers for the shorter travel Judy SL I believe
Brand new, never fitted rebound dampers (metal cartridges) for the shorter travel/earlier Judy forks. If anyone wants to swap for a longer travel, I'm all ears as I have no spares for my forks
I'd keep these if I had any shorter travel forks.
Lower legs and braces
Enough lowers and braces to make up a set of Judy SLs (yellow and canti/v), Judy XCs (blue - v brake), a set of XCs (yellow - decalled as SLs but aren't, with a red DH crown) and have some legs and a brace left over to play with.
Fork boots
Plenty of these, including a set of ODI (or ATI, I forget) ones.
Springs
A few sets of springs - red type 3 (Were nos and fitted to the SLs damaged by the postal service, so not been used. Have a home brew method of joining them), a set of NOS yellow marked longer travel springs and another NOS Type II kit (medium this time)
Bolts, bosses, elastomers and top caps
Pretty much as pictured, including some SL Ti bosses and bolts. I may also have an uncut set of elastomers somewhere that I can include - sut to your preferred size and drill a hole and hey presto, new elastomers.
Crowns and stantions
A couple of crowns, bone 1 1/8, the other 1 inch. One stantion is probably not any good, but the other only has a few marks so ideal if you have discovered one of yours has gone the way of the one in the picture (though the one in the picture is still pretty smooth, so maybe of use).
Thats about it. Quite a few parts for not a lot of money in my view, but if you feel I'm overpriced, want to make an offer, or even want to trade something for the parts rather than part with cash, just let me know as I'm a sucker for retro parts.
