Sold Rock Lobster frame

Devout Dirtbag
Rock Lobster frame, 20” centre to top, circa ‘95 according to Paul Sadoff due to the vinyl decals and it being the original first run paint colour.

This is a really tidy example with just a few marks/scuffs from storage. It was a complete bike but I don’t believe it was ever ridden.

Measures 20” centre to top with a top tube of 23” centre to centre.

Frame only, bottom bracket, headset cups and saddle/post will be removed.

£200

Any questions please get in touch.

Hello am possibly interested in this after checking how sizing compares with my go-to retro ride Bonty xl.

Some quick Q.s.

1) Is this example is a USA made by Paul Sadoff Rock Lobster ? …

(not a later Rock Lobster marque brand frame sold by Merlin Cycles during 1990s era?)

2) h’set size
3) s’post diameter

Hi,
I sent pics to Paul and he confirmed this is an early one circa ‘95 whereas the Merlin Cycles frame versions were from ‘98-2010.

Headset is 1” and post is 26.8

Cheers.

Hello oliver,

Thanks for quick reply…that us what I was hoping to hear re. being a USA made Rock Lobster.

Had been hoping it was 1 1/8” as have some really nice Indy fab cx fork going unused. Will do some research on possible build options and get back to you.

Does your price include postage / shipping.
Am currently off bike with broken collar bone - so collection not an option for me just now.

Postage on top. I have a couple of frame boxes so am happy to protect the frame and prepare for shipping. Happy for you to organise a courier or I can look in to prices etc.

Collection from Bristol preferable though.

Wow. This is beautiful.

And my size!

(Not that I need another expensive project, which is what this would be to do it justice!)

No thanks to @br0qn for making me aware of its existence! ;)

Do you know what happened to the original fork?

Or is it suspension corrected? I guess around 95 it could have gone either way....

Almost tempted to grab it, ship it to my parents house, and build it there one day as a back-home-for-the-holiday's rider!
