Tried swapping the bars for a set of Specialized / WTB RM2.
I’ve temporarily fitted to get the angles correct, and trying some TRP brake levers for the slightly more modern ergonomics.
Can I check with the Retrobike experts?
I can get the lever height about right depending on the angle of the bars, and moving the brake up/down the bar itself.
Usually, on a road bike or with a more traditional bar shape, I would always align the drop part horizontally, then move the brakes up as needed, trying to get the end of the lever about in line with the end of the bar (generally leads to a flattish transition to the hood too.
Here, however, and looking at pictures online, seems that the bars should angle a bit down, and moving the brakes also significantly changes the vertical alignment.
Any tips?
Bike is pretty much level in the photos, and yes, I think I need to nose-up the saddle a bit.
