Retro Newbie
Hello folks. I recently bought a frame on ebay, it is powder coated white but has no forks sadly,it is lugless 23" and very light,it also has' spur' attachments in front of the rear drop outs not sure what the correct name is for them? the seller informed me on the frames history, when the previous owner told him the frame was an Imperial or Imperial patrol, the frame number is stamped on the underside of the bottom bracket and is:722209 .the only reference I can find to Imperial is the Imperial cycle works in the Birmingham area,i am getting in touch with them shortly to see what their history is ,has anyone on here any info please? Cheers.

We will need sharp close up detail pictures. You could search for Imperial Petrel but the frame number feels a bit high for that..
It seems you have bought just over half a frame, the forks should be an integral part.
Also lugless means there is less individuality to help with identity.
The "spur" is probably a type of fork end popular in the early post war period, to help guide the wheel in.
