Anyone remember this chappie-no problems with your brake blocks slipping in to the spokes with this!

Spokes pulling through unfortunately

Yes I do remember those rims all too well, they were the biggest fookin' pain in the arse with setting up the canti pads and even after the several hours of doing that STILL didn't work properly.

Pile of crap those rims!

i got one on a bullseye no its a shocktech just remembered
works fine
looks odd tho

 I guess you did'nt like them then Lee-good job it is on the way to the "Recycler"
I reckon they risked the brake blocks hitting the tyre sidewalls if not set up correctly; the 'land' is quite narrow-ok for Aztecs maybe?

Worked very well with maguras but sort of defeated the point!

....

I had a pair of these on an old Marin Pine Mountain SE. Tried to by the bike back recently, as it had nice bits such as XLite Ti Bars, and the guy had skipped it just a week before!!!! :(

I had a pair of these, rear one cracked around the spoke holes so had it replaced with a Fir Helix. Never wanted to fit into the Mavic crowd at the time.

The rims were bloody excellent, could set pads on XT wide profile cantis to stike rim and lip simultaneously. Stiff as a board, hence the cracking. The front one was snowflaked. Had it for about 5 trouble free years before bike was nicked by theiving scum.
