Rigid fork length for a "97 C16r..?

I am refurbing a 1997 C16r at the moment, and the forks that came with it were an "03 set of Bombers with 85mm travel. Now I am getting the parts together after a respray, looking at the head angle the Bombers give the frame is quite a lot slacker than with original F7 forks. Does any one know the measurement from axle to top of crown for a pair of "97 F7 forks that the frame was made for? I have overlayed an image in CAD and think it may be around 380mm. I would love to get my hands on a set of F7's with a threadless 1" steerer but they are few and far between. (Anyone??) So I am looking at maybe a pair of eXotic Rigid Carbon Fibre forks instead.

Any ideas? Any help is much appreciated!

I think 38cm is right. F7s come up for sale only quite rarely. I don't think you'll find a modern fork that will be suitable, but Pace may be your best alternative - they did RC30s in 39cm a-c, or else a late RC35 with 50mm travel such as an RC35 MXCD.

Hope your going to publish the build ? I'm on my second C16R build at the mo, just fitted some Pace RC38's onto my first C16R, but going Ridgid for my second one.

Jussa :)
