Reynolds 753?

First thing I would do is try and date the frame to see what tubing was available at that time. There are some other tubes other than Reynolds, such as Ishiwata that may be just as light or even lighter than 753.

I think the frame is an '85.

Check some measurements, check the diameters of the tubes, check the length of the top tube etc - a very short top tube for example can reduce frame weight a lot.

1985 would have been Imperial Reynolds 753R, 531P or 531c within the Reynolds range and a frame of 1270 grams using these tube sets is either ridiculously light or wrong. For example, I have a 1976 52cm (centre to top) Metric 753 SB track frame with a 0.3mm seat pin end and it is 1552 grams bare, approx 300 grams heavier than your frame.

That's light :) Didn't Oria make some silly light tube sets as well as the more normal / external fluted stuff?

Re:

This question has been posted on another forum. As for the weight comparison, the lighter measure is almost certainly down to the fact that it is lugless.
