Retro Animal Pro-Series Chronograph Watch W004

Hi I was searching Animal Pro series as I wondered what the numbers stamped on the back were one of mine has 8A and the other 74? So I'm reviving this thread with pics of my 2 W004 Pro Series, I bought the White Chronograph one half price for £65 from Julie's Cycles in Leicester in the late '90s and the blue/grey one off eBay for £20 last year. Both are fitted with leather straps and I change my own batteries using a kit I bought off of eBay.

Edit: got the pics working at last

Re: Re:

Just completed my early 90's Animal watch collection consisting of a mint W001 with original strap (the very first model Animal produced), W002, W003, W004 (pro) and the W005. Trouble now is chosing which one to wear!

Re

Just dug my old collection out, couple of new straps from eBay and a clean up, forgot what nice watches they were, the w009 has just come back from animal, couldn't believe they still had a new bezel for it! Great service, shame the animal brands not what it used to be, and the logos pretty lame now! Anyway got a w003 coming this week, the collecting begins!

Great collection, love the W009. You must add a W004 Pro chrono, the quality is far superior to a standard Animal and thus my favorite. The classic W001 comes a close second though. That orange strap you have is rare, only issued to dealers way back in 1997!

Would love a 004 pro and am always keeping an eye out, would be good to see a catalogue pic of all the 90's models, anyone have one? used to have a kahuna k2 which was equally well built, seriously tough watch!

LBS had a W013 in the curios cabinet. Couldn't remember why, when, or where he got it from, and gave it to me for cheap. Strap broke 2nd time I wore it.

Not quite but I have this advert in the back of MBR issue 2 from 1997. From another advert I think these retailed at £70?

I bought a spares/repairs orange face W001 (as per below) recently to see what all the fuss is about. Not bad considering they were made in China and they're a doddle to work on. Fully stainless case and screw-down crown was a cut above most fashion brand stuff.

Thanks to a battery leak the movement is beyond repair but these use cheap Seiko jobs so I'll be whacking in a brand new one. Crystal was badly scratched as well but also dirt cheap to swap.

If anybody has one that needs similar treatment let me know before I get my parts order in ;)
