Right then, am now the proud owner of a pair of Cook's. In pretty good shape, to be honest there is more surface finish than I was hoping for as I want to strip them completely - black is not my thing.

Any suggestions for what to use to get these stripped and then polished, preferably that I can do myself!

I have recently stumbled accross 2 sets of silver RSR's im looking to polish up and reapply the logos to.
one set is a little battered so I took a file to the raised sections then brasso'd it all down, they look a lot better but still a long way from perfect due to the small dents left.

the secnd set I have yet to start on, although they are in much better condition to start with.

To re-apply the logo I was planning on masking off the arms except for a cut out stencil of the name logos, then carefully applying a brushed affect to the area.

If any one has any tips or suggestions, id like to hear them too!

I'd be curious to see any re-applied logos to the crank arms. surely if you ride it the logos gonna come straight off? unless its garage queen of course :)

Well I will be selling one set, and thought id'd have a play at getting them as near original as I can. Your most likely right though, I cant see any new brushed logo lasting any longer than the originals...whcih wasnt long!

Thanks K

will be a slow time project (like after Mrs SB knows I have them...), but will take pics of everything for this build as I didn't for the Kona, hey ho.

(Must do more serches, must do more searches, must do more searches...)

Did you go for that method you linked previously then, if so how much was it?

they do look super good!

Hmmm, have already congratulated you on those - very sweet. Mine are different though, only have 2 sets of holes to accept chainring bolts. Have I bought roadie ones by accident?
